Swedesboro Council agrees to move ahead with vacant property registration creation

Swedesboro, NJ: Another area in New Jersey is considering vacant property registration as a means to get a handle on foreclosed, abandoned, or dilapidated buildings.

After discussion, the Swedesboro Council forwarded the information and their support along to the Borough Solicitor to review.

Pricing for the proposal has not been set, though the registration fees from surrounding areas was taken into consideration to help establish guidelines that would suit the community of Swedesboro.

Despite trepidation concerning the whats and hows for instigating such a code, the Council agreed readily having on hand contact information – name and current phone number for the person/s in charge of the property – would be in the best interest of the borough.
