Reynoldsburg, OH, discussing vacant property registration ordinance

Reynoldsburg, OH: City Council is discussing a vacant property registration ordinance.

The registration would be annually renewed, with a fee, and properties would be required to be maintained to City code for the duration of vacancy.

The fee structure suggested is $200 for the 1st year, $400 for 2nd year, $600 for 3rd year, $800 for 4th year, and $1000 for the 5th year and beyond.

The definitions for what triggers a vacant property, as well as when registration is due by, are still to be determined as the Council discusses the proposed ordinance in coming meetings.
